The Southeast Asian international school market is experiencing remarkable growth this year. A historic 400-year-old London institution is preparing to establish its very first campus in Thailand.

The highly anticipated Dulwich College Bangkok opening is officially on course for August 2026. This launch marks a significant moment for expatriate and local families seeking world-class British education within the region.

For global education stakeholders and parents, this arrival highlights Thailand as an increasingly popular hub for premier international schooling. The new institution joins the prestigious Dulwich College International network, expanding high-quality learning pathways in Asia. Situated in the vibrant Bang Na district, the purpose-built campus will initially welcome up to 1,000 pioneer students. Furthermore, developers have designed the entire 40-rai site to achieve strict LEED Gold sustainability certification, ensuring an eco-friendly learning environment.

Tailored Pathways and Multilingual Mastery

The initial phase of the development will cater to Early Years and Junior School pupils aged three to eleven. To support their development, the campus features exceptional amenities including swimming pools, an indoor gymnasium, sports fields, and extensive libraries. Additionally, school leaders plan to introduce a Senior School and a dedicated performing arts centre during later phases. Ultimately, the institution will offer a seamless educational journey from Nursery all the way through to Sixth Form.

The academic structure will follow an enhanced version of the English National Curriculum. Meanwhile, older students will benefit from a flexible dual pathway offering either the IB Diploma or traditional A Levels. Multilingualism forms a core pillar of the academic strategy. Consequently, Thai language lessons will be available for both native and non-native speakers. Furthermore, Mandarin instruction will mirror the highly successful programmes already established at sister campuses in Seoul, Singapore, and Shanghai.

Joining a Flourishing Regional Education Market

Notably, the upcoming Dulwich College Bangkok opening coincides with an unprecedented wave of British school launches across the country. Other historic institutions such as Highgate International School, Wycombe Abbey, and Glenalmond Phuket International School are also opening this August. Therefore, 2026 is officially the most active year for British curriculum expansion in Thai history. The local market now hosts over 250 international schools, serving up to 80,000 students and growing at ten percent annually.

The partnership behind this project was finalized in May 2024 between Education in Motion, the parent organisation of the network, and developer Sakol Sathapat. Designers drew inspiration from traditional Thai village layouts, blending British heritage architecture with low-rise local design elements. To celebrate the launch, the school has introduced a Pioneer Scholarship Programme for founding families. These merit-based scholarships offer tuition fee reductions, while a temporary admissions office continues to welcome applications at True Digital Park West.
