XCL Education has announced a major regional expansion through a strategic partnership with Mooltripakdee International School in Chonburi. The move marks XCL’s entry into Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor, one of Southeast Asia’s fastest growing economic zones.

Headquartered in Singapore, XCL continues to strengthen its presence across the region, adding MIS to its growing network of international schools.

A Well Established School With Strong Foundations

Founded in 1988, Mooltripakdee International School has evolved from a Montessori nursery into a well respected Cambridge International school. Today, it delivers the British curriculum to approximately 1,000 students from Early Years through Year 13.

Located near Pattaya in the industrial hub of the Chonburi Rayong region, MIS is recognised as one of the three largest international schools in the area.

Strengthening XCL’s Regional Network

This partnership expands XCL’s footprint to approximately 21,000 students across 19 schools in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. In Thailand, MIS joins XCL American School of Bangkok and D-PREP International School, creating a diverse portfolio that includes both Cambridge International and American curricula.

The collaboration reflects XCL’s strategy to grow within key economic corridors while offering families a broader range of educational pathways.

Leadership And Vision

“MIS has spent over thirty years building a school with deep roots in its community and a stellar reputation for quality. Our goal is to build on that. We bring regional scale and operational depth; MIS brings heritage, trust, and an educator community that genuinely knows its students.”

Gilles Mahe, Group CEO of XCL Education

The integration will be led by Dr. Connie Kim, Head of School at XCL American School of Bangkok, alongside Ms. Kannika Koompairojn. Dr. Kim brings 28 years of international education experience across the USA, South Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Thailand, spanning American, British, and IB curricula.

Benefits For Students And Educators

By joining the XCL network, MIS faculty will benefit from collaboration across 19 schools in four countries. This includes the sharing of best practices, curriculum development, and professional expertise.

Staff will also gain access to expanded career pathways and mobility across Southeast Asia, supported by XCL’s group wide technology infrastructure.
