Hanoi Toronto School has announced it will officially rebrand as Fairmont International School Vietnam starting in August 2026. The change marks the establishment of the sixth campus within the Fairmont family and the first to carry the brand name in Vietnam. The school remains part of the International Schools Partnership network, which comprises more than 110 schools globally.
Academic Framework And Curriculum Shift
The rebranding signifies a strategic shift in the school’s academic framework to align with the US Common Core standards. This development is intended to strengthen university pathways for pupils, providing opportunities to earn Advanced Placement credits and a US Common Core aligned diploma.
The curriculum is designed to facilitate applications to higher education institutions in the United States, Europe and Australia.

Fairmont’s Educational Heritage
Fairmont Private Schools, founded in California in 1953, brings a 70 year educational heritage to the partnership. The group reports that 94 per cent of its pupils are accepted into the top 100 universities in the United States, with recent graduating classes securing 9.8 million dollars in merit based scholarships.
The new FISV will focus on personalised learning and independent thinking while leveraging Fairmont’s established Math and Science outcomes.
Strategic Positioning In Vietnam
This rebranding signifies a strategic move by ISP to leverage an established US brand for market penetration in Vietnam, aligning with the recent trend of increased strategic development activity within the sector.
The adoption of US Common Core standards and Advanced Placement credits reflects a broader push towards globally recognised curricula to enhance university pathways, a recurring theme in recent updates.

Looking Ahead
Further details regarding specific academic programmes and transition pathways are expected to be released in the coming weeks as the school prepares for its official transition in August 2026.
